Aprils Photowalk Images comming soon.
The photowalk for April went fairly well for our first time. A group of 8 of us met in downtown State College camera gear in tow. At first I got the feeling that everyone was a little inhibited and nervous, I know I was. So a few snaps here and a few snaps there. We worked our way down to Skate Penn where we spent a good hour photographing the local skate community. Shaggy and Christian, the owners were great! I was really impressed with the enthusiasm of all the skaters, they skated hard and put on an amazing show for us. I only hope our photos due their efforts justice. I can not tell you how impressed I was with Skate Penn and how much value I think they add to the state college and the youth of centre county. My oldest son has shown an interest in skating and I plan on taking him to Skate Penn starting in May.
From the skate shop we headed over to Old Main where we successfully broke up a large kick ball game and chased away the tightrope walkers. I think it was just the time of day that the students were winding down. Just seemed odd that we show up with our cameras in hand and all the college kids just seemed to vanish within 5 minuets of our arrival. From Old Main we decided to call it an evening and hit up Zeno's
I had a great time, and met 2 of the people from an amazing graphics design company 3Twenty9
They offer a venue of informed ideas and skills for their clients. I highly recommend checking out their website and taking a look around. 3twenty9 design produces some amazing work.
So to sum it up, I had a great time, got to network with some amazingly creative and fun people, and learned more about the community that I live in.
I cant wait for Mays photowalk, keep watching this feed for details.
